Donghu is in the east of Wuhan. It was assigned the national priority scenic spot by the State Council in 1982. Its area is 880,000 square kilometers, as the quart of the area of Wuhan.

The area of the lake in Donghu is 330,000 square kilometers.You can feel water clear , bright and vast.The water front is tortuous and named by the 99 curves.The bank is surrounded by thirty four moutains.You can enjoy the sunning ,the green trees and so on.There are rich plant resources in Donghu,esspecially the pine,the chinese fir,the camphor trees.And there are many kinds of flowers，as well known as plums and lotuses.So "Chinese Plum Research Center" and "Chinese Lotus Research Center" are both set up in Donghu.In Donghu there are a lot of interests about ChuGuo, such as Xingyingge ,Quyuan Plaza,Chucity,Chumarket,Zhurong Statue(Zhurong is the ancestor of Chu

people),Chutiantai,<<Lishao>> Stele.

You can travel in all seasons in Donghu.
